Magician & Alchemist, AI Render

The Magician & Alchemist combines elements from nature, storytelling, imagination and symbolism. The Sketches are handmade done on my phone and then I used AI to render and to direct the details.

- The fly provided the biological starting point.
- Architectural details influenced the facial features, crown and stage.
- The cape evolved from insect wings into something that is simultaneously wing, costume and illusion.
- The four arms became part of the character's conceptual language rather than simply an anatomical exaggeration.

My initial concept had two arms, but as the character developed, the four arms became meaningful to the idea of the Magician & Alchemist.

The character evolved from a more insect-like face into something more human, then more iconic. The cape evolved from a small cape into a larger wing-like cape, and the visual language continued to develop.
On top of that, I started adding symbolism and meaning.

The important part for me was not simply making the character look interesting.
It was being able to ask, at every stage: Why?
Why this anatomy?
Why this proportion?
Why this cape?
Why four arms?
Why these textures?
Why these symbols?
Why does this visual language belong to this character and this story?
This is what I mean by sustaining a personal creation.

In my opinion, artistic intention doesn't mean having everything figured out from the beginning. Quite the opposite.
- The character must evolve.
- The proportions can change.
- The visual language can become more refined.
- A new reference can completely redirect the work.
But even through all these changes, there needs to be a thread connecting the decisions.
