Creative Madness: My Concept Sketches >> 20 AI Animations. I took 20 sketches—early explorations of ideas for an enemy character or obstacle in a platformer game—and created one animation for each concept.
Each animation is 6 sec long, has a name and a brief description (like the AI prompt). Sound is also AI generated.
My Purpose? To “test” my sketches with the AI aliveness of animation. My enemies are a combination of robotic elements, insects, and organic features, designed to challenge players in unique ways.
If a sketch—no matter how rough or just a thumbnail—but it makes sense both logically and creatively, the AI result can be impressively creative. AI thrives on good sketches, and the animation result can help you become more aware of your design (rather than just copy-pasting ideas).
🌟 I have worked with many art students who were very skilled in drawing but struggling to visualizing the motion (the essence of it). They couldn't see the motion as a storytelling action, much like an animator does.
A rough concept sketch must convey storytelling insights. Instead of getting lost in the details, you can understand the nature of your design, including its movements, patterns, cycles, and its story. With AI, movement can be expressed simply and effectively.
💖 Story Pitch:
The Machine World is a realm populated by evil minions, where robotic machines mimic life in all aspects, resembling insects, plants, everything. However, there is one ninja raccoon on a journey to recover True Life from the Machine World.
