I continue to explore how AI technology can be integrated into my personal creative process and digital art education. I took my 13-year-old character, George the Butler, and challenged myself to see how AI can enhance Storytelling. ✨


I originally created George's world in 2012 while working on 2D and 3D aspects of an educational point-and-click game called "Hotel Spooky." This project was developed within a creative industry cluster focused on educational storytelling, but life kicked in—the project was eventually suspended and abandoned.

Now, in 2025, my primary goal is to test the initial purpose: storytelling. This presents a unique challenge, especially since I’m working with AI-generated clips that are only 6 seconds long—and maintaining continuity & character’s personality 🎥 in the animation is currently a challenge (for now at least).


Looking back, the project involved monumental work 😱 : conceptualizing multiple characters and designing a furnished Victorian mansion. While the 2D concept was solid, the 3D challenges were significant. Back then, I simplified designs, especially for hair and clothing.

Ironically, AI-generated visuals have added back my initial ideas. OMG: mottled top hair, mottled ponytail, and a large bow—elements I had to remove from my initial designs.


🌟 Challenges:
AI insisted on making my George more human-like, resulting in some interesting morphism towards human appearance.
However, since George is a great magician, I decided to embrace the AI's suggestions while playing with the shapeshifting elements 🤭. I added even more magic 🕯️, melting wax, and a ghostly transcendental effect.


So far, I haven’t managed to give myself a creative block while using AI;
✨ instead, it has sparked an explosion of ideas about how George the Butler can truly embrace his magical talents as the Candle Magician. 💡 without me getting into burnout.


💖 Story Pitch:
George is the main character—a funny butler at the Hotel Spooky. He is also a magician with extraordinary powers. Using the magic of candlelight, he can bring all kinds of objects to life, from small to large. However, there’s a mystery surrounding Hotel Spooky: no one knows who owns it or when it was first built, but it is a place full of stories, intrigue, and wonder. ✨
