The Destroyer, my concept art turned into AI Animation (sound on - AI generated as well).
I created the concept of The Destroyer as my teaching demo for a university concept art course a few years ago, and I thought it would be exciting to test it out now with AI animation.
My goal with this project was to explore how The Destroyer performs in various AI-generated weather conditions, capturing the essence of a racing mood and why not, infusing it with a bit of cinematic action.
I am so amazed at how Grok AI preserves the details of my design: the painted surface texture, the mechanical components, the volumes, and the overall 3D feel.
This raises an important question: Should AI be introduced in schools? Consider this example: I remember discussing our “Cars” in class and imagining how incredible it would be to see them come to life. In a Year 3 concept art course focused on game design, why not allow concept art students to visualize their own creations? Why not use AI to let our imagination soar? It’s a fantastic way to bring personal artwork to life, almost like a teaser for ideas.
Story Pitch: In my narrative, The Destroyer is a minivan invented by Prof. Strange for the Wacky Challenge. Its standout feature is a powerful wrecking ball arm that can be manipulated with precision in any direction. While The Destroyer may not have the speed of a sports car, it possesses the power to demolish massive obstacles and opponents. Additionally, it is equipped with multiple gadgets, making it a formidable force on the road.
